The Blue Unicorn

This jumbo angel food cupcake is iced with cream cheese decorator icing from the book Icing Only by Kim Knott. A 1M star tip was used to put stars around the outside of the cupcake then icing was swirled in the middle. The unicorn horn is made from eggwhite gumpaste and allowed to dry for 48 hours then painted with three colors of metallic paint. (pink, lilac and blue) The ears were made with a small gumpaste leaf cutter, allowed to dry and then the inside was painted with pink metallic paint. Once the horn and ears were placed, then a selection of pastel colored readymade gumpaste flowers were placed on the cupcake.
